An Overview

How To Apply

We try to maintain a simple yet comprehensive system of admissions. With limited space, however, this can sometimes be tricky as we may have very limited seats available in some classes. The following is a step-wise overview of the process from registration to final admission formalities:

Registration

To register, you do not need to make a formal interview appointment or make any payment. You may register at any time, free of charge, as you visit the school at your convenience. The front desk manager will walk you through the filling of an initial form that asks you for some basic info on the family, the child, and some generic insights on lifestyle and behavior.

Initial Interview

Based on this info, the Admission Officer will receive your form, create your profile in our database and book you for an initial meeting with either the Academic Coordinator, the Vice Principal, or the Principal. This may be seen as your opportunity to ask any questions you may have as we walk you through our values, principles, syllabus and criteria for admission

Entrance Test

After this interview, if there is interest and room in the requested classes, we will arrange for the child to sit an Entrance Test. This is not a requirement for Montessori students [3-5 year olds]. The test is conceptual and focuses on English, Urdu, and Mathematics. For Board classes, the admission test also includes Science and or other subjects depending

Entrance Test Day

Important: The entrance test does not have a hard pass or fail criteria. It is for teachers to assess how well aligned the student may be with our style of learning, whether we can identify any specific problem areas, and for parents to be clear on any gap there may be between what is expected and what has been attempted. This helps us with the final decision.

Entrance Test

Important: The entrance test does not have a hard pass or fail criteria. It is for teachers to assess how well aligned the student may be with our style of learning, whether we can identify any specific problem areas, and for parents to be clear on any gap there may be between what is expected and what has been attempted. This helps us with the final decision. Any rejection at this stage is strictly due to an understanding that the child may not be able to cope with the requisite class level. There are many ways we also help some students work on improving their scores.

One, students can attempt the test again after working on problem areas in their own time. There are no charges, nor is there any judgment. If anything, we appreciate when children take it upon themselves to prove how they can improve.

Two, some students have trouble as they may be adjusting from foreign education systems and so, especially in Urdu and Mathematics, we may suggest remedial classes or private tutoring before re-attempting. It is important to note that we are against the culture of tuition centers and so by this private tutoring we usually mean a teacher we may recommend and may be available to help cover problem areas.

Test Results and Next Steps

As mentioned earlier, the test doesn’t have a pass or fail line. It is usually left to the teacher who checked the test to decipher whether the student will be able to adjust to our system and with how much ease. Based on this, the decision is discussed in person. In some cases, it may be that a decision is communicated to you via phonecall for your convenience.

In case admission is approved, the next stage is to fill the Official Admission Form, fulfill its obligations [attachments], and process Admissions Office vouchers to formally admit the student. It may be noted that the right to accept admissions is reserved with the School. Admissions are subject to abiding by the Schools code of conduct.
