Elementary Section
The Elementary Section in Montessori comprises of children from 6 to 9 years. During the Elementary years a child moves from concrete to abstract concepts. Children develop ‘a reasoning mind’, seeking answers to the questions to why, how and what is the relationship between things.
We continue to engage with children individually with the Montessori material.
An individualized reading program, individual tajweed lessons, hands on experiments for science and geography, extensive math material presentations, Urdu reading program and collaborative learning are the most salient features of this section.
In line with the Montessori philosophy, the Elementary environments home a variety of Montessori material for each area of learning, the day is divided in uninterrupted blocks of time and all assessments are conducted unannounced and informally.
